Yay gym time done!
it was short and sweet. I’m getting back into the swing of doing loose weights and crunches and even some lunges (!) Food so far is going well too! I’m feeling good about my perfect week plan.
Now, time to hit the books. Hope everyone’s Monday is going well!

oh, weekend. You are bad for the diet.
I struggled with the healthy eating thing this weekend. I wanted sweets and alcoholic beverages and burrrrgers and so I ate them. Which was fun, but not good for the whole lose-20-pounds-plan.
So I am presenting myself with a challenge:
Have a perfect week.
Just one perfect week. And what do I mean by perfect? I mean eat exactly how much I plan to, no more, no less. Work out 6 days this week....

I am having homework problems, as in, I’m not doing any. I really need to find some motivation because I don’t have time to just not do my work. I just need to learn how to extend my gym-motivation to school work. Any day now. Perhaps making a schedule would help? I’m still in my bed. I was debating getting a waffle for lunch. (I’m waffle obsessed lately.) my stomachhh hurts.
I have overdosed on cannnndy. But for dinner my friend took me to this amazing place, a tiny little restaurant where you pick your protein, sauce, and side, and it’s all low calorie and delicious! So hopefully that will counterbalance my sugar. My stomach is mad at me. :( I’m sorry stomach, I promise to eat regularly tomorrow. I promise.

Instead of doing homework/going to work
I called out sick! And am going to see No String Attached! I also spend all my time researching a) blogs b) vintage rings c) tropical vacas I cannot afford.
So, in order to feel more productive, I am 100% going to the gym today. At least my exercising and eating (For the most part) has been going well this week!
Tonight the eating was not so good
but the fun was worth it. Tomorrow I will be more aware of my calories and try to limit it so I can have a drink and still be within my goals!
I want to lose this week and I know in order to do that I need to make good healthy decisions for the next 5 days. One night does not a failed week make.

Things I block out about long distance running:
1) The pounding headache I get after really pushing it during a long distance run. This usually happens after races, mostly. I never remember, then I run one, get a bad headache, and wonder why I don’t pack advil so I can pop some right after I finish.
2) How sore my back is for days afterwards. It’s like I end up pulling with my arms in an effort to get to the finish faster. My back...

I love who I am right now.
I love being healthy. I love being active. I love being able to say I am a runner. I love kicking and moving and sweating. I love the confidence that all of this has given and continues to give me. This whole journey is one my greatest and happiest accomplishments I’ve ever had in my entire life.

I ate well today!!!
I had healthy breakfast and lunch, only one serving of things at dinner! (I did have a brownie…and 3/4 of another one. But they are small brownies and I turbo kick boxed my butt off today so I am feeling ok about that.)

Turbo Kick Boxing is epic.
So. Much. Sweat. And actually, my legs felt a lot better after working out! I have been really sore since Sunday and I feel pretty ok now. (Yesterday, I was hobbling around the grocery store. My friend couldn’t stop laughing at me.)

My Turbo Kickboxing class starts today!
I’m excited. I saw the class before zumba last semester and everyone left dripping sweat. I’m a little sore still, but not terribly, and I know working out my muscles after a rest day always helps.
Today my eating started well
what with the “No thanks, waffle,” moment I had this morning. Then I had a brownie or two. But not terrible.
I am definitely going to make it my goal to eat well this week. I’ve been lagging in the food department and depending on my work outs to help me maintain. I am done maintaining and I’m ready to be an awesome healthy eater again!

In May of 2010, I finished the 10 mile Broad Street Run with a 12:55 pace.
Yesterday, I finished a half marathon with an 11:55 pace!
